November 14, 2016 - The City of Fort Wayne is providing area residents an opportunity to salvage architectural details from homes that are slated for demolition in the Brookview-Irvington Historic District neighborhood, per the Memorandum of Agreement for the State Boulevard Reconstruction Project Designation Number 0400587. 

The salvage will take place at the Brookview-Irvington neighborhood at Eastbrook Drive and State Boulevard over the course of five days. Residents of the Brookview-Irvington Historic District will be given the first opportunity at salvage on December 5 and 6 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Residential property owners within Fort Wayne neighborhoods may salvage details on December 7 and 8 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Architectural salvage firms are invited to attend on December 9 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The City of Fort Wayne and its employees will not assist in the dismantling or removal of salvageable items. All persons entering the premises to salvage items will check in at the intersection of State Boulevard and Eastbrook Drive and will be required to sign a liability waiver. Individuals salvaging items are responsible for providing all necessary equipment and appropriate transportation to remove items on the day of salvage.
