Jefferson Boulevard Lane Restriction                                                                                                                                                                                 

Please be advised that beginning Wednesday April 27, 2016 there will be a single lane restriction along Jefferson Boulevard between Calhoun Street and Clinton Street in downtown Fort Wayne.  This restriction will be to allow crews to repair a damaged manhole within the travel lane.  City crews will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating lanes will be unrestricted by Monday May 2, 2016.  Traffic Operations will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

St. Mary’s Avenue Closure                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Please be advised that beginning Wednesday April 27, 2016 St. Mary’s Avenue between Archer Avenue and Putnam Street will be closed to through traffic.  This closure will be for a City Utilities Engineering sewer separation project allowing crews to complete work as required for the contract.  There will be a marked detour for this using State Boulevard, Sherman Boulevard, and Spring Street.  Wisel Enterprises LLC will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating completion on Friday May 13, 2016.  Wisel Enterprises will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Calhoun Street Lane Closure                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Please be advised that beginning Thursday April 28, 2016 there will be a single lane closure in the southbound right turn lane of Calhoun Street between Main Street and Berry Street.  This restriction will allow AEP crews to install new upgraded lines in their underground system in downtown Fort Wayne.  AEP Contracted crews will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating restrictions will be finished by May 27, 2016.  AEP Crews will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

 McKinnie Avenue  Lane Closure                                                                                                                                                                                                            

Please be advised that on Friday April 15, 2016 McKinnie Avenue will be under a new traffic pattern between South Anthony Boulevard and Wayne Trace.  McKinnie Avenue will temporarily become 1-way traffic heading east from South Anthony Boulevard towards Wayne Trace.  This change will remain in place during the McKinnie Avenue improvement project which is anticipated to complete in September. Adjacent streets will be periodically affected due to construction phasing.  The project will improve circulation and safety for vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic on McKinnie Avenue. It includes concrete road reconstruction; trail and sidewalk on either side of the road, ADA curb ramps, and a grass park strip.  Primco, Inc. will be doing the work and will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

 Hobson Road Lane Closure                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Please be advised that beginning Monday April 25, 2016 there will be a northbound lane restriction on Hobson Road between Vance Avenue and Coliseum Boulevard.  This restriction will be to allow Gleave Construction to restore concrete pavement for NIPSCO.  Gleave Construction will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by Monday May 2, 2016.  Gleave Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Vance Avenue Lane Restrictions     

Please be advised that beginning Monday April 4, 2016 there will be lane restrictions along Vance Avenue between Hobson Road and Coliseum Boulevard.  This restriction will include westbound lane closures during daytime hours of 7:30 am until 5:30 pm.  Vance Avenue will remain fully open during non-working hours.  All Star Construction & Excavating will be doing the work as a part of a City Utilities Engineering water line replacement package.  Weather permitting, it is anticipated that these restrictions will remain until April 27, 2016.  All Star Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone, and be responsible for maintaining traffic through the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

North Clinton Street Lane Restrictions     --  REVISED                                                                                                                                                                                               

Please be advised that beginning Tuesday April 12, 2016 there will be modifications to the lane restrictions on North Clinton Street between Coliseum Boulevard and Washington Center Road.  This restriction will allow contractor, Primco, Inc. to work on the inside southbound lanes of traffic to make concrete repairs as a part of a City Transportation improvement contract. Northbound travel will still be utilizing the inside travel lanes.

 A single lane in each direction will be maintained throughout the work zone.  Primco, Inc. will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating this phase of work will remain until May 20, 2016.   It is anticipated that all inside travel lanes will be under construction and travel lanes will be switched to the outside (right) lanes beginning the week of April 18th.

Primco, Inc. will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Harrison Street Closure   **Click Here for Map Detail**

Please be advised that for safety reasons beginning Monday January 19, 2015 Harrison Street will be closed to northbound traffic between the southern midblock of Wayne Street and Berry Street. Harrison Street will continue to remain closed to southbound traffic between Berry Street and Wayne Street.  This closure will be for the Ash Skyline Plaza and Skyline Garage construction for the 2016 calendar year.  Vehicular traffic will be maintained for local businesses from the alley between Berry and Wayne heading north on Harrison towards Berry Street.  Pedestrian traffic will have access along the sidewalk on the east side of Harrison.  Weigand Construction will be doing the work and will be responsible for the maintenance of all traffic control devices in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.
