Vance Avenue Closure 

Please be advised that beginning Tuesday August 30, 2016 Vance Avenue will be closed to through traffic west of Hobson Road between Hobson Road and Santa Rosa Drive.  This closure will be for a City Utilities Engineering water main installation project.  All Star Construction will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by Tuesday September 13, 2016.  All Start Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.

Harrison Street Closure                                                                                                                                                                                          

Please be advised that on Monday and Tuesday August 29 & 30, 2016  Harrison Street will be closed to through traffic just south of Jefferson Boulevard at the Embassy.  This closure will allow Weigand to place a crane in the street to place equipment on the Fort Wayne Embassy rooftop.  Weigand Construction will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be during daytime hours and will be completed on Tuesday afternoon August 30, 2016.  Weigand Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Aboite Center Road

Please be advised that there will be lane restrictions on Aboite Center Road at Coventry Lane for a City Utilities Engineering stormwater improvement project. Traffic lanes will be shifted through the intersection. T-E Inc. will be doing the work and it is anticipated that these lane restrictions will remain in place until Friday August 26,2016.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Smith Road and Engle Road Lane Restriction

Please be advised that beginning Tuesday August 2, 2016 there will be lane restrictions on Smith Road between and Engle Road and Covington Road, and Engle Road between West Jefferson Boulevard and Smith Road.  These restrictions will allow contractor, Fleming Excavating, to install new water lines as a part of City Utilities Engineering improvement project.  Fleming Excavating will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating work will be completed by August 31, 2016.  Fleming Excavating will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades, as well as traffic control through the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

 Maumee Avenue Realignment Project Lane Restrictions

Please be advised that beginning Wednesday June 1, 2016 there will be lane restrictions on Maumee Avenue between Francis Street and Ohio Street.  This restriction will be done in phases to allow Brooks Construction Company to complete the realignment project.  Brooks Construction will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating all work will be completed by Friday November 4, 2016.   Brooks will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

McKinnie Avenue  Lane Closure                                                                                                                                                                                                            

Please be advised that on Friday April 15, 2016 McKinnie Avenue will be under a new traffic pattern between South Anthony Boulevard and Wayne Trace.  McKinnie Avenue will temporarily become 1-way traffic heading east from South Anthony Boulevard towards Wayne Trace.  This change will remain in place during the McKinnie Avenue improvement project which is anticipated to complete in September. Adjacent streets will be periodically affected due to construction phasing.  The project will improve circulation and safety for vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic on McKinnie Avenue. It includes concrete road reconstruction; trail and sidewalk on either side of the road, ADA curb ramps, and a grass park strip.  Primco, Inc. will be doing the work and will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.
