Spring Street Lane Closure    

Please be advised that effective immediately, the eastbound lane of Spring Street east of Sherman Boulevard, is closed to through traffic.  The eastbound lane is closed due to a damaged pipe within the eastbound driving lane of Spring Street.  There will not be a marked detour for eastbound Spring Street traffic.  Eastbound Spring Street traffic should use Sherman Boulevard to W. State Boulevard to access Wells Street.  Please be advised that there is a 17 TON weight limit restriction on the Van Buren Street Bridge.  WPCM is making repairs to the structure and is anticipating that work will be completed on Wednesday May 20, 2015.  City WPCM will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Hale Avenue Lane Restrictions        

Please be advised that beginning Tuesday May 19, 2015 there will be lane restrictions along Hale Avenue between Juliet Avenue and Pauline Street.  Lane restrictions will allow contractor, Rothenberger Company Inc., to complete pavement and sidewalk repairs along Hale Avenue. Rothenberger is anticipating completing work by June 12, 2015.  Rothenberger Company will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Tillman Road Lane Restrictions      

Please be advised that beginning Thursday May 14, 2015 there will be eastbound lane restrictions on Tillman Road between US 27 and Anthony Boulevard at Decatur Road.  This restriction will allow contractor, Key Concrete, to make pavement repairs in the eastbound lanes.  Key Concrete will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating being complete with work by May 22, 2015.  Key Concrete will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

 Baker Street Lane Restrictions

Please be advised that starting Wednesday May 6, 2015 there will be lane restrictions on Baker Street between Fairfield Avenue and Ewing Street. Baker Street will be restricted to one lane of one-way traffic heading east from Fairfield Avenue to Ewing Street.  This restriction will allow contractor, Brooks Construction, to complete sidewalk and streetscape improvements in downtown Fort Wayne.  Brooks Construction will be doing the work and is anticipating completion of this area on July 2, 2015.  Brooks Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Oxford Street Road Construction

Please be advised that on Friday April 17, 2015 Oxford Street will be under a new traffic pattern between South Anthony Boulevard and Wayne Trace.  Oxford Street will temporarily become 1-way traffic heading east from South Anthony Boulevard towards Wayne Trace.  This change will remain in place during the Oxford Street improvement project which is anticipated to complete in September. Adjacent streets will be periodically affected due to construction phasing.  The project will improve circulation and safety for vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic on Oxford. It includes concrete road reconstruction; trails on both sides of the road, ADA curb ramps, and a grass park strip.  Primco, Inc. will be doing the work and will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Lower Huntington at Winchester Road Closures - REVISED

Please be advised that construction work will continue along Lower Huntington Road between Airport Expressway and Fairfield Avenue. It is anticipated that during the week of May 11, 2015 traffic will shift to one eastbound and one westbound travel lane on the south side of Lower Huntington Road. Brooks Construction Company will continue to make concrete pavement repairs on the north side of the road.  During this time, it is anticipated that the north part of the intersection of Lower Huntington Road and Winchester Road for concrete replacement.  Weather permitting, it is anticipated that this phase of construction will remain until June 12, 2015.  Brooks Construction Company will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Poinsette Drive Construction

Please be advised that beginning Monday April 20, 2015, Poinsette Drive will be closed to through traffic at the intersection of Lillian Avenue.  Affected area will be between Goshen Avenue and W State Boulevard.  This closure will be for a City Utility Engineering storm line installation project.  Crosby Excavating will be doing the work and weather permitting is anticipating an October 30, 2015 completion of work.  Crosby Excavating will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Maplecrest Road

Please be advised that there will be lane restrictions along Maplecrest Road between Lake Avenue and E. State Boulevard through the calendar year 2015. Brooks Construction will be responsible for the maintenance of all traffic control and signage within the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172. 

Harrison Street Closure   **Click Here for Map Detail**

Please be advised that for safety reasons beginning Monday January 19, 2015 Harrison Street will be closed to northbound traffic between the southern midblock of Wayne Street and Berry Street. Harrison Street will continue to remain closed to southbound traffic between Berry Street and Wayne Street.  This closure will be for the Ash Skyline Plaza and Skyline Garage construction for the 2015 calendar year.  Vehicular traffic will be maintained for local businesses from the alley between Berry and Wayne heading north on Harrison towards Berry Street.  Pedestrian traffic will have access along the sidewalk on the east side of Harrison.  Weigand Construction will be doing the work and will be responsible for the maintenance of all traffic control devices in the work zone.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Webster Street Closure - Skyline Development

Please be advised that beginning Thursday June 5, 2014 Webster Street between Wayne Street and Berry Street will be closed to traffic until December of 2015.  This is a coordinated closure as a part of the new downtown development building project on the block between Webster Street, Harrison Street and Wayne Street and Berry Street.  Along with this closure will be lane restrictions on the North side of Wayne Street between Ewing Street and Harrison Street at Webster Street for the setting of concrete barrier wall to protect the construction site.  Weigand Construction will be the prime contractor responsible for the coordination, placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades for this project.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.

Wayne, Harrison & Berry Street Restrictions - Skyline Development

Please be advised that beginning Monday July 14, 2014 there will be lane restrictions around the block of Wayne Street, Berry Street, Harrison Street and Webster Street.  These lane restrictions will be for site development protection during construction of the new Skyline Garage, Skyline Terrace and Ash Skyline Plaza development in downtown Fort Wayne.  Wayne Street and Berry Street will be restricted to one driving lane, one bike lane and one parking lane around the block.  ** REVISED ** Harrison Street will be restricted to northbound traffic between the alleyway south of Berry Street up to Berry Street. Webster Street will remain closed to traffic between Wayne Street and Berry Street.  Weigand Construction will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades.  For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.
