Thank you all for joining us at Electric Works for the 2023 Inspire Neighborhood Conference -an event that was created to energize and equip Fort Wayne’s neighborhood residents and leaders! Details for our upcoming 2024 conference will be posted soon. For now, please check out our highlights from 2023 below.

 

The 2023 Inspire Conference Agenda included 15 breakout sessions led by 40+ speakers from Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, including representatives of AARP Indiana, Amp Lab, AWS, the City of Fort Wayne, Citilink, Fort Wayne Open Walls, the Fort Wayne Public Art Commission, MKM Architecture, the Fort Wayne Urban League, and various nonprofits and community leaders.  Bree Jones, the Founder and CEO of Parity Homes delivered an outstanding keynote address entitled “Using social capital to build momentum for systems change, and a plenary about neighborhood conflict management was presented by Sharon Logan and Terry Brooks Allen of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center.9

The event closed with neighborhood leader of the year and neighborhood association of the years certificates being awarded in 6 categories to 4 individuals and 2 neighborhoods associations and was capped off by a musical of the Mad Scatter (Trinell Armor) featuring Michael Patterson.
