September 5, 2024 - The Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control department announced today that Mistyna (Tyna) Reiter has been named as its new Community Relations & Education Specialist - PIO. She began her duties on August 26 of last month.
Tyna brings over 10 years of service in animal care and fundraising to her new role. Her experience includes 5 years with the Allen County SPCA, and almost 6 years with H.O.P.E. for Animals, both organizations have since merged into what is now known as Humane Fort Wayne.
These prior positions have allowed her to showcase her leadership ability, implementation of new programs, visibility in the community, and development of fundraising opportunities for new donation streams. She looks forward to leading her team and helping to increase awareness about Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control.
Tyna is a Fort Wayne native, and supporter of multiple nonprofits within the community including the American Legion Post 409, The United Way of Allen County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, St Jude, and many animal care organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management degree with a minor in communications through Indiana Wesleyan University.
