Proper disposal of unused prescription and over-the-counter medicines is essential for preventing pollution and keeping these drugs out of the environment.  Proper disposal also prevents illegal use or theft and helps avoid accidental poisoning if children or pets swallow medicines that have been put int he trash.

Allen County TRAID, Walgreen's Drug Stores, volunteer organizations, and the Allen County Department of Environmental Management have organized a year-round medication collection program. Only pills are accepted at these sites:
