May 17, 2019 - Mayor Tom Henry today proclaimed May 19-25 as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week in the City of Fort Wayne.

Mayor Henry read the proclamation at the offices of Three Rivers Ambulance Authority (TRAA) on Hayden Street.

Officials from TRAA and local public safety leaders from the Fort Wayne Fire Department, Fort Wayne Police Department and Consolidated Communications Partnership highlighted the importance of emergency medical services to the community.

“EMS professionals are unsung heroes and deserve to be recognized,” said Mayor Henry. “I’m honored to present a mayoral proclamation as we take time to think about and celebrate the significant contributions that emergency medical services providers make to residents, businesses and visitors. Fort Wayne is grateful to have emergency personnel working well together to make a meaningful difference.”

EMS Week is a nationally-recognized event in its 45th year and is led by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
