April 25, 2023 - The City of Fort Wayne’s Public Works Division will go before City Council this evening to request approval for resurfacing packages for each quadrant of the City. City Council is expected to discuss and vote on the ordinances. The resurfacing packages total just over $6 million, which is an increase of 33% over the past few years.
“It’s vital that we continue to invest in our neighborhoods. By partnering with the Public Works Division, City Council, and residents, we’re making a lasting and meaningful difference,” said Mayor Tom Henry. “We want our neighborhoods to be strong and vibrant with an excellent quality of life. One of the ways we accomplish that goal is by taking care of infrastructure needs.”
The resurfacing packages are part of the City’s record plan of $48.3 million in neighborhood infrastructure projects this year. Since 2014, the City has invested more than $250 million in neighborhood infrastructure enhancements.
